The Internet of Things (IoT) is radically changing how we think about day-to-day life. We use smart thermostats and never have to think about turning down the heat before leaving the house. We place Amazon Dash buttons near the washing machine and don’t have to ever worry about running out of laundry detergent. Having IoT devices means we can think about these small tasks like shopping less and less each day.

But if consumers are thinking about shopping less, how do we sell products to them? What happens when products start to buy other products? Those of us in the commerce industry have to think about selling products in a radically different way.

Smart devices don’t shop like humans do (since they’re not human). The algorithms they use to find products and make choices will evolve from today’s simple supply decisions too much more sophisticated and complex product evaluations.

In the IoT world, product information will be key to marketing and selling your products to other products. Are you ready for what’s next? Find out by reading our new white paper on the Internet of Things and the Future of Commerce.
